Use Mantis versions as milestones and releases.

Roadmap

The roadmap is driven by target versions.

• Parent issues describe phases, features, or outcomes.
• Child issues describe concrete implementation steps.
• Backlog ideas should not be assigned to a release until accepted.

Changelog

The changelog is driven by resolved work and fixed-in versions.

An issue is changelog-ready when:

• it is done
• the fixed-in version is set
• the issue note explains the user-visible or operational change

For internal-only tasks, write a short operational changelog note or mark why no changelog entry is needed.
